Specialty Coffee is both science and art, a fascinating blend of process and precision, artistry and intuition, a unique collaboration on a global scale.

Exceptional coffee begins with cultivation. Grown in some of the most beautiful settings on the planet, the coffea arabica shrub thrives between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Farmers carefully tend their crops at high altitudes in rich soil, encouraging slow growth and development of the fruit, called cherries. The ripe cherries are picked, processed to remove the fruit from the green seeds or “beans”, meticulously dried, sorted and shipped to roasters around the world.

Our Roast Master sources the finest green coffee beans and crafts them by hand in our Probat roasting machines, monitoring temperatures and making adjustments at each stage of the roasting process to reveal the flavors and unique characteristics inherent to each bean’s origin.  Frequent cupping (taste-testing) ensures the quality of our roasts batch after batch.
